Offers of Help Accepted

Venezuela -- frequent target of the President's criticism -- is offering humanitarian aid and fuel to the US in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. President Bush had previously refused all offers of foreign aid. But now, Secretary of State Condi Rice says no offers of help will be turned down flat.

Other countries lining up to send humanitarian aid to the US:
  • France
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Russia
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Holland
  • Greece
  • Israel

Don't forget Cuba also offered help--Castro wants to sent 1000 doctors. (I'd be suspicious)
