A DeLay in the Katrina Investigation

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) announced that the House probe into hurricane response failures is on hold.

The announcement came after a closed door meeting between Congressmen and the Cabinet members responsible for federal assistance.

A person in that meeting told CNN that a Republican Congressman was stood up and said to Cabinet members: "All of you deserve failing grades. The response was a disaster."

Meanwhile, a bi-partisan probe into the disaster reponse will likely begin next week in the Senate. (CNN)
