HOA, FEMA, What's the Difference?

A Florida homeowners association is barring residents from opening their homes to refugees from Hurrican Katrina.

People around the country are taking in some of the 450,000 people believed left homeless after the storm. But the Majestic Oaks HOA sent out fliers telling people that offering shelter to storm survivors was against the HOA's rules.

Members blasted the rules in a HOA board meeting , calling the idea "disgraceful" and "embarrassing."
