The White House has refused to turn over any materials requested by the 9/11 Discourse Project. That's the former 9/11 Commission. After they disbanded, the members pressed ahead on their own to determine what steps the federal government had taken to prevent a repeat of the 9/11 attacks.
Panel Chairman, Thomas Kean, the former Republican Governor of New Jersey, calls the lack of cooperation "disappointing."
He says he's gotten no response of any kind from the White House, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, FBI, or CIA.
The 9/11 Public Discourse Project plans to publish a followup study to show exactly how safe we are from terrorist attacks. Gov Kean says the lack of cooperation is the only thing holding up that report.
