Energy Bill Factoids
When President Bush signed the energy bill Monday...
the price of oil hit $63 a barrel
the price of gasoline averaged $2.34 a gallon
the US imported 58% of it's oil
Analysts say the bill will do nothing to reduce the price of oil or gasoline. And with it, the US will still import 68% of it's oil by 2025.
But hey, special interests did get $14 billion of your money in tax breaks and pork projects.
