US Taxpayers buy British Shows for Arabic TV

Dave Hughes over at DCRTV.com reports talk that US taxpayer supported Al Hurra Television will buy programming from the BBC.

Al Hurra has studios in the DC area. It broadcasts in Arabic to Middle East and South Asian countries. It's in the same part of the federal government as Voice of America.

The report says Al Hurra will air documentaries and news programs including "Panorama" -- the investigative reporting program that's been the BBC's flagship news magazine for 50 years. (DCRTV.com)

Holy Crap!

I think airing "Are You Being Served" would violate the Geneva Conventions!
