Russell Wayne Wagner was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetary last week.He recieved full military honors: military pallbearers, a bugler playing "Taps," and a firing party salute.
He was after all a Vietnam veteran, honorably discharged in 1972.
He was also serving two consecutive life sentences for murder when he died.
Mr Wagner murdered an elderly couple in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1994.
The Army is now trying to figure out if the burial was appropriate. (WashPost)
