With time running out on the administration's schedule and things moving along more slowly than expected in Iraq, the Bush administration has significantly lowered its expectations for what can be accomplished in Iraq. The Washington Post today reported:"The United States no longer expects to see a model new democracy, a self-supporting oil industry or a society in which the majority of people are free from serious security or economic challenges, U.S. officials say."
