Lobbyist for the President

President Bush has tapped former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie to head up the lobbying push for his Supreme Court nominee. Mr Gillespie is currently a lobbyist who's clients shell out up to $360,000 a year for his services.

The Washington Post reports that his client list include:
  • The American Petroleum Institute
  • SBC Communications
  • Tyson Foods
  • Verizon Communications Inc
  • Microsoft
  • The US Chamber of Commerce
  • The National Association of Realtors
  • Safeway
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb
Mr Gillespie will work with former Sen Fred Thompson (R-TN) who worked on the Watergate investigation and is currently an actor. Mr Thompson will work on personal meetings with Senators. (WashPost)
