A Clinton Being All Things To All People -- Who Would Have Thought?

With 16 months until her next election, Sen Hillary Clinton (D-NY) is launching a website that plans ahead to 2008. HillaryClinton.com seeks to draw in Republicans and independents who don't normally vote for Democrats. It promises to highlight her role in defense issues and reducing abortions by preventing unwanted pregnancies. At the same time she paints herself as a champion of abortion rights and defines differences between herself and President Bush on economic policies. The approach appears to mirror her husband's "third way" that worked for his two successful Presidential campaigns. (NYT)
