President Bush is urging Senators to ignore special interest groups "on the extremes" in the battle over a new Supreme Court nominee. The President has been defending Attorney General Alberto Gonzales -- under attack from the right for not being conservative enough to serve on the court. That and other factors suggest Mr Gonzales may top the President's list of choices for nomination to the court.
