In a rare turn, President Bush actually took questions today in his speech to the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. He hasn't done that in previous Iraq War speeches.
One of the questions was even hostile -- about the President's previous claims that there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11.
Most polling I've seen suggests that the President's biggest negative among voters is that he appears "stubborn." His staff appears to be pushing a more open image -- "candor" is the word you'll hear most used -- or overused.
Taking questions may be a move to soften the President's image with Americans. (The Hotline)
