The Grand Jury Hears New Evidence in the CIA Leak

For the first time since the October indictment of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald (right) was back before a grand jury presenting evidence this morning.

The new grand jury is continuing a two-year investigation into who at the White House leaked the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame.

The grand jury is still investigating White House Advisor Karl Rove, who failed to tell federal agents early in the investigation that he discussed Ms Plame's identity with TIME magazine reporter Matthew Cooper.

Meanwhile, Mr Rove's assistant has left her White House gig for "less pressure" at the Commerce Department. Susan Bonzon Ralston was called to testify before the grand jury earlier. She had handled Mr Rove's schedule's and records of phone calls and meetings. (WashPost/Raw Story)
