Partying Down in Louisiana

While asking Washington for $2 billion in hurricane aid, Louisiana lawmakers plan to spend $45 million at home on crawdad festivals, goat ropings, and lawnmower races.

The state legislature has been hestitant to tighten spending for the activities.

The list includes some horseshows. Who knows, maybe they'll bring former FEMA honcho Michael Brown back to the state. (Washington Times)
