Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) (right) wants to make it easier for National Guardsmen and Reservists to get health insurance for themselves and their families.
The Bush administration doesn't want it.
Sen Graham's plan would let the "citizen soldiers" sign up for the same insurance active duty troops get. The plan would cost $4.6 billion.
The administration's afraid that Guard and Reserve troops would opt for the cheaper health care instead of going through their employers or buying health insurance for themselves.
Roughly 55 Americans currently have no health insurance. (UPI via WashTimes)
