"Since Their Parents Aren't Around, Let's Give These Kids Some Drugs," said Uncle Sam

The federal government tested AIDS drugs on kids in foster care back in the 1990s. The Department of Health and Human Services has found that some of their testing broke federal rules in place to protect kids from medical testing risks.

The government investigation follows an Associated Press story back in May. The AP found government funded researchers in New York, Illinois, and several other states used kids in foster care to test AIDS drugs starting in the 1980s. (WashPost)
