Freeing a Man to Fight -- At a Huge Salary

Uncle Sam wants private contractors. PBS's Frontline found that the US relies on 20,000 private security forces and 100,000 civilian contractors in combat zones. They serve supply lines, run US bases, and even guard the top brass. Private contractors make more money than Army Privates -- anywhere from $400 to $1,000 a day. (Frontline)
