Congress' Travel Agency

Lobbyists have found a hole you can fly a 747 through. They're not allowed to pay for trips for your Congress members. But non-profit groups can pay for lavish travel for your Representatives and Senators. So lobbyists are forming non-profit organizations -- and sending Congress members around the world.

Take "America's Trust." Just don't trust them. Every member of that non-profit's board of directors is a registered DC lobbyist.

A couple of months ago, this non-profit wined and dined Congress members to the tune of $46,000 -- including $458 a day for food for each person. (USAToday)
