Oh, And No Research into Sicle-Cell Anemia Either

BiDil is a heart failure drug that can save lives and keep people out of hospitals. But it only works for black people.

But ethicists say drugs that only work for one ethinic group aren't all that ethical. They think it sets a bad precedent and so the drug should never come to market.

Obviously, none of the ethicists are black people having a heart attack. (NPR -- Audio)
