Veep Stuff

Anne Armstrong -- the woman who owned the ranch that was the scene of Vice President Dick Cheney's hunting accident -- was once mentioned as a VP candidate herself.

Ms Armstrong was tapped to tell the local paper about the shooting incident.

Back in 1976, Gerald Ford briefly considered tapping her to be his running mate -- hoping a Southerner would offset Jimmy Carter's support in the South. (NPR, HT: PoliticalWire.com)
