Where's the Beef? $50 Million Will Track It

In the neverending fight against terrorism two farm belt Congressmen want national ID cards -- for cows. Reps. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) and Tom Osborne (R-NE) want $50 million for an animal ID program. The Ag Department is already spending $11.6 million this year, and $33 million next year to track cattle. (Lincoln Journal Star)
