If Something Works, Fix It

The FTC is thinking about wateringdown the "Do Not Call List" that is so popular with the American people. They are considering opening a loophole to let companies deliver pre-recorded messages to your phone -- perhaps the most annoying of all telemarketing calls. The Electornic Privacy Information Center calls the idea "answering machine spam" that would hit 62 million of us -- probably right as we sit down to dinner.

If you don't like the idea, you can send the FTC your comments online. (Chicago Sun Times)
