Former US Senator Thomas Eagleton (D-MO) has died.Sen George McGovern tapped Sen Eagleton as his running mate on the Democratic Presidential ticket in 1972. He dropped out of the race shortly afterwards when it came to light he'd been hospitalized for depression and had undergone electroshock therapy.
Sen Eagleton was 77.
