Flood Warning

A tape of a videoconference the day before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast shows federal disaster leaders urgently warning President Bush about the threat the storm posed. The President didn't ask a single question in the conference.

President Bush participated in the conference from his Crawford, Texas ranch.

During the briefing, a top hurricane expert warned of the threat to the levees (video below).

But just days later, on ABC's Good Morning America, President Bush said there were no warnings about possible flooding (video below).

The subsequent flooding caused most of the damage in New Orleans and left thousands of people stranded at the Superdome and Convention Center for days.
