Former Senator and Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen has died at the age of 85.He began his national political career defeating George HW Bush in the 1970 Texas Senate race. He held on to his seat in the US Senate until becoming President Bill Clinton's first Treasury Secretary in 1993.
