Happy Frickin' Groundhog Day -- And Thanks For the $100,000

It's Groundhog Day and time to remember how your tax dollars are going to keep Puxatawney Phil living the highlife in his Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center.

Congress shelled out $100,000 of your tax dollars to help the tourist magnet lure weather fans to the small Pennsylvania town that cooked up the whole groundhog gimmick. Some of my earlier posts on the pork barrel bonanza:

Now that the rich little rodent has predicted more wintery weather, maybe the idea of shelling out your hard earned tax dollars will make your blood boil enough to keep you warm until spring. (Watching Washington)
