The tsunami relief effort may be a golden opportunity for the US military to build a positive image with the Muslim world. Much of the effort will be in hard hit Indonesia -- home to the world's largest Muslim population. The bulk of US relief efforts so far is from military forces in the region -- the largest US military operation in Asia since the Vietnam War. Political leaders caution against the Defense Department blowing its own horn and causing a backlash. But the images of US helicopters delivering relief supplies and medical help to tsunami survivors could be a public relations boon amid this natural disaster. (Guardian)
