In what has become the deadliest day of the Iraq War, 31 members of the 1st Marine Division died in the crash of a transport helicopter with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Another five Marines and Soldiers died in other incidents around the country. The Pentagon isn't saying if the helicopter crash was related to hostile action. An investigation is underway.
