The Army You Have

The US Army upped troop levels in Iraq late last year by 30,000 late last year. They said it was temporary -- needed just until Iraq got through it's elections in January. Now, the Army says it may keep the levels permanently -- to reduce the strain and burden on US forces in Iraq. Making the adjustment permanent will cost $3 billion. (LAT)
