Ah-mending the Constitution

Perhaps never has a Constitutional Amendment loomed so large. Abolishing slavery, giving women the right to vote, creating the income tax. These were mere footnotes to the chapter being written today -- a proposed 28th Amendment.

It would give Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger the right to run for President.

Sure, ending slavery and giving women the right to vote were big deals. But did they have the star power of a top box office draw in a celebrity obsessed society? Did "Entertainment Tonight," "Access Hollywood," or "MTV News" cover those issues?

Let's face it. The author of the 22nd Amendment never made the cover of People. (USAToday)
