If That Doesn't Work, We'll Take Our Football and Go Home
The filibuster is a time honored and long ridiculed Senate rule designed to give the minority a voice -- often a voice to read phone books and the classics until they talk an idea to death. It's the chief weapon Democrats would rely on to stop Bush administration judicial nominees. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) has a simple solution -- change the rules. He's holding that promise of a "tyranny of the majority" over the heads of Democrats. (USA Today)
