Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) wants to know what will happen if Venezuela suddenly cuts off its oil supply to the US. Venezuela is the fourth largest oil exporter to the US. But the State Department says it's not a reliable supplier. Political unrest, strained relations between the US and Venezuela, strikes and protests make the chances of oil supply problems real. Sen Lugar wants the GAO to look into the consequences of a sudden stop in the flow of Venezuela's oil.
