Frist Fritters Away Money in the Market

A campaign fund Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) controls is in serious trouble. It was invested in the stock market and has lost nearly $460,000 since 2000. Now there's not enough money in the fund to cover a bank loan the account took out. And these guys want to invest your Social Security withholding. (WashPost)

Actually, they currently DO invest our Social Security withholding, in a government "trust fund" that's really just a slush fund. Wouldn't it be nice to take our retirement out of the hands of guys like Frist and Daschle and control it ourselves?
