Health care costs are one of the biggest hidden taxes in America. General Motors is the largest purchaser of health insurance in the country. It expects to spend $63 billion on health care for its current employees and retirees. Though fewer than 200,000 people work for GM, the company pays for the health care of 1.1 million Americans -- roughly one half of one percent of the US population. Think about how that ads to the cost of the next car you buy.
