The Convergence of Fear and Money

President Bush wants $36.8 billion in homeland security money from Congress this year. That's 10% more than a year ago. He also wants Congress to give him 7% more in defense spenging -- topping out at $401.7 billion. Me may -- or may not -- be any safer. But our money sure isn't. (USA Today)
