There's widespread early voting this year -- at least 29 states allow it now. But what happens when someone votes early and dies before election day? In most cases, the vote's not supposed to count. Problem is, there's no real way to enforce those laws. It's impossible for most states to retrieve an early vote after someone dies and not always likely that the election officers would find out about a dead person's vote until after the election.
