Bad Medicine

The FDA says importing American made drugs from Canada is unsafe. Seems some FDA approved drugs bought here at home are unsafe, too. Take Vioxx -- the arthritis drug pulled from shelves last week for permenently curing arthritis by killing the patient. Congress has been investigating the FDA's drug safety prodedures since June. The Vioxx issue adds new urgency to the probe. (SF Chronicle)
