Florida -- The (Spent Too Much Time in the Sun) Shine State

Wilton A. Dedge served 22 years in a Florida prison for a crime he didn't commit. Therefore, Florida figures, he shouldn't be entitled to any of the benefits it offers real criminals. Dedge was 20 when he entered prison. When he walked out a free man, his worldly possessions fit in a plastic bag. Because he was innocent those past 22 years, the state didn't see fit to give him the $100 it gives real crooks. He also didn't get a bus ticket home, counseling, job referrals and education opportunities. Those are served for real murderers and rapists. (CNN)
