The Candidates' Health Insurance Plans
Right now, 45 million Americans are without health insurance. That's 4 million more than when President Bush took office. The President explains his health care plan in a new 30 second commercial. The LA Times analysis of the ad relies on reports from the right leaning American Enterprise Institute. AEI says, the president's plan for would cost $128.6 billion over 10 years. It'd provide 6.7 million people with insurance. The Kerry plan would cost $1.5 trillion over 10 years provide health insurance to 27.3 million more people. (LAT Ad Watch)
