The Little Red School House

The Government Accountability Office says the Department of Education needs to do more to help rural schools. It defines those schools as 55 miles or more from a metropolitian area. The GAO says the schools need help to meet the No Child Left Behind Act. It points to things like teacher training as an increased federal responsibility. (Education Week)
