FDA Silenced Drug Warnings

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, says the FDA tried to cover up dangers with the drug Vioxx. Dr. David J. Graham is associate director for science in the FDA Drug Center's Office of Drug Safety. Weeks before Merck & Co. pulled its drug Vioxx off the market for links to heart attacks and strokes, Dr. Graham raised concerns about it's safety. It was hi job. His superiors told him to shut up.
