The folks at FactCheck.org say Zell Miller's speech was outdated. Miller blasted Senator John Kerry on his votes for different weapons systems. Among them, the F-14 fighter, which the Navy is retiring as old and outdated.
In fact, a lot of the weapons Miller mentioned in his RNC keynote address last week sounded more like topics for the 1984 keynote address.
The analysis suggests that Kerry had a record of voting against weapons systems when he first came to the Senate, but that quickly changed.
At least the GOP can still say that's a flip-flop. (FactCheck.org)
