Powell and the WMDs
In a likely sign he's shopping his resume around regardless of who wins the election, Secretary of State Colin Powell admits it's a longshot the US will ever find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The Bush administration hung their hat on WMD stockpiles when they sent troops into Iraq in 2003. The man who once assured the United Nations that the United States was zeroing in on the WMD threat now tells lawmakers, "I think it's unlikely that we will find any stockpiles." (Reuters)
