Going to Bat for President Bush

Big leaguers in Major League Baseball are going into extra innings to put the President back on base for a second term (How's that for sportscaster metaphoring around?) More than a dozen current and former owners and and their families are in President Bush's line-up of top campaign fundraisers. The AP found six "Rangers" raising at least $200,000 for the President, and six "Pioneers" raising at least $100,000 each. Not bad since these guys decided years ago that President Bush wasn't right to serve as Commissioner of Baseball. (Seattle P-I)
