Drugged Out

President Bush told an audience in Michigan it's not safe to buy US-made prescription drugs in Canada. These are pills made on the same assembly lines as prescriptions sold in the US. But they're a lot cheaper in Canada. The US has the highest prescription drug prices in the world. What makes these identical drugs, made at the same time, on the same lines, under the same FDA requirements unsafe? Could it be the pharmaceutical industry suddenly pulling the plug on the $11.5 million dollars the pharmaceutical industry has given to politicians this election year alone? President Bush has taken $871,824 from pharmaceutical companies himself.
