And You Thought You Get Tired of Political Ads

Washington is hard at work figuring out how to spend your tax dollars in the new budget. And that means the start of the annual television-drinking game -- taking a slug when you see an ad for a special interest. Local television in the Washington DC area is flooded with ads from special interests. Big defense contractos have some of the biggest budgets with Lockheed Martin reminding Congressmen and staffers who might be watching, "We never forget who we're working for." That would be the stockholders, right? The ads run throughout the year, but are heaviest in the first quarter when Congress works on the budget. (SF Chronicle)
