Embattled Health Care

Retired Marine General Joseph P Hoar (right) says veterans aren't getting the medical care they need.

Gen Hoar delivered the Democrats' response to the President's Veterans Day weekend radio address.

"Thousands of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan will require mental health care, yet the Bush administration has not taken action to deal with this emerging problem."

The Department of Veterans Affairs miscalculated the cost of health coverage for vets last year. They came up $1 billion short in the spring. Congress had to hand them $1.5 billion in emergency money. (CNN)

Great blog I hope we can work to build a better health care system. Health insurance is a major aspect to many.
